Marcello
Meet sweet, shy Marcello. Marcello is very unsure of people. He is not aggressive at all, but will run from you if you try to pet him. Marcello is not stressed living in a house with people. He snoozes on the sofa next to us, he just doesn’t trust us enough to allow much touching. We have been working with him. He will take treats from our hands (he LOVES roasted chicken LOL) and we can pet him while he is eating. But mostly he just goes about his thing, and we go about ours. He loves other cats and has been raised around clam dogs of all sizes. It is possible that in a calmer home he may come around more. Maybe with time, love and patience Marcello will allow handling. But his adopters must be ok if that never happens. Marcello is happy and enjoys playing with toys. (He really likes jingle balls) He loves snuggling with his BFF, Tao. Marcello just needs a home that will love him and let him be himself.
Marcello needs to be adopted with his Brother From Another Mother Tao. Marcello depends on Tao to help him be brave and give him confidence. Tao is so outgoing and loving he makes up for Marcello’s shy nature.
Marcello came to us from the shelter with a nerve injury to his hind end. He walked in a squatting position because of the weakness and pain in his back end. Thankfully with time the damage healed and now Marcello moves normally and is a healthy boy.
Meet Tao! This guy is so outgoing and adventurous! He loves people of all types. Tao gets along with other kitties and has been raised around dogs of all sizes. Tao loves food! All food! (He has been known to snitch pizza and burritos LOL!) He also really enjoys kicking around his catnip Mousie and he loves playing hide’n’seek in cardboard boxes (what cat doesn’t love boxes!) Tao is fun-loving and affectionate.
Tao needs to be adopted with his Brother From Another Mother, Marcello. Tao is Marcello’s BFF and helps him be brave and navigate the human world.
Tao came to us from a small shelter that reached out for help. He had been found laying in a field and brought in by a Good Samaritan. Tao could not use his front leg at all. We rushed him to our vet for an exam. We found nothing broken or damaged in the xrays, but Tao was in pain. After discussing possibilities with the vet, we all concluded that Tao had serious nerve damage in his leg. Our vet felt it had been that way for quite a while and had probably happened from being dropped or falling from a high spot. We all felt it was best to amputate the leg. Tao recovered beautifully! He can run and jump and climb with all of the other cats. He definitely gives everyone a run for their money!
